Child support

Child support

Some people may not be aware that The Child Support Agency (CSA) was originally set up in 1993 following the Child Support Act 1991. Before the CSA was set-up the Courts dealt with child support matters. The setting up of the CSA envisaged that all matters of child support would be handled by this Government Department rather than the Courts.

However, the CSA is no longer in existence and child maintenance issues, are now dealt with by the Child Maintenance Service. We are happy to provide you with advise upon your responsibility to pay maintenance, the maintenance calculation and the circumstances, in which by law you must make payments once you have separated.

Call us to arrange a free 30 minute interview, at which we can discuss this, along with any other issues.
