Legal Aid.

As we hold a Legal Aid Quality Mark and Contract, we are able to offer legal aid where available. Although you are no doubt aware legal aid was considerably limited in 2013, there are still many occasions where legal aid is available to you.

Sometimes you will be required to provide certain specific evidence to prove your eligibility. Legal aid is always available to parents involved in care proceedings and can be available to other interested parties. Legal aid can also be available in certain circumstances to cover divorce, financial matters and private children matters.

We offer a free 30 minutes consultation at which we can advise you, whether you will be eligible for legal aid in your circumstances. You will be advised at the time of making an appointment what documentation you need to bring with you to enable us to make this assessment.

Private Fees.

If legal aid is not available for your type of matter or you are in fact ineligible for legal aid then we have a very competitive private fee scheme. At your first appointment we will explain to you the choices of how you wish to fund your case.

You can choose to pay by hourly rates, which are set on your solicitor’s level of experience. In those circumstances you will be advised at the outset of the case of a costs estimate for the work, which is anticipated and agreed and you will receive regular updates and we will tell you if the costs estimate changes, for example, if further work is required.

Alternatively you can choose from one of our competitive fixed fee packages to ensure certainty. As we offer an initial free 30 minute interview all our funding packages will be explained to you. Where possible we will spread your costs so you are able to budget for them.

Divorce starts from £275 plus VAT and disbursements.

Financial Consent Orders from £500 plus VAT and disbursements.
